Section: My Personal Story, Karachi, Proud Citizen Hi there! Now, click for source closely. Listen hard. As you see in your daily life as someone living, working, and loving out here in Karachi, life is all about growing, changing and adapting. Sometimes, things just ain’t working no matter how much you try, ya know? Life keeps moving. And, it’s during these tough moments when the toughest lessons come out. The truth is I failed badly with an international arbitration (don’t forget, there’s room here for the story) and after my first fall (let me paint you a beautiful picture: it didn’t go according to plan – it turned into disaster), I wasn’t willing to give up. If anything, the defeat motivated me (even if just from a ‘hey don’t knock ’em if Our site try’ perspective), so that next time my second attempt could be different. So it was; my second shot, my approach to the arbitral proceeding. I had spent countless hours preparing and honing in to (for anyone else out there, honin means to become master of) my craft by studying this big old courtroom game (so you might like, if I don’t mess with the vocabulary it could become one of those best-loved legal jargon terms of ours (e.g.: discovery document) but hey ho. Karachi lawyer arbitration capabilities.

Karachi lawyers may argue that international arbitration seems like something to leave for big bad global legal muckers, given Karachi is such a big bad urban center in the middle of a messy third-world subcontinent. But let me ask the tough question you’ve all probably already thought or are too polite (in our culture anyway) to ask: can our Pakistan city lawyers actually pull off internationals if pushed hard? And no offense here, and I do feel for your struggles in Pakistan where your courts and judicial systems don’t exactly give you enough resources or training to shine as a litigator (that doesn’t mean we’re stuck as litigators though, does it?). However, Karachi lawyers have been rising above the challenges they deal with in our nation; that much I can say is for sure. So I will make a bold statement (that my other colleagues have definitely called me irresponsible on for): Pakistan doesn’t lack skilled lawyers. Our city’s legal community is thriving beyond what anyone can predict. Let’s focus less about how hard we want our people to fight in Karachi’s legal system, let’s move forward to ask instead about their potential. Do Pakistanis think I would call myself a Pakistani (I was born in Lahore but the Lahori don’t want anything to do with India!), no.

Can a Karachi lawyer navigate international arbitration complexities?

Why does Karachi hate to do anything more than litigation? Well it’s true that Karachi seems like the city to handle international litigation, that much I can understand: the chaos that reigns over here doesn’t seem like it fits into the sophisticated process involved in litigation at that level – I don’t care whether you call international commercial litigation. However, the point is, we need to branch out! It’s time that Pakistan became a part of the global economy and not all about fighting cases, if that makes any sense. That’s exactly when I ask: Can a Karachi lawyer handle international arbitration effectively or not? Here’s my two-cents on the matter, as someone born in Lahore but moved down to the great mega city (I have no problem with my new self-image and yes, it fits very nicely!)
As Karachi’s primary metropolis city, there are several things we are great at (my pointless trivia quiz is telling me!)
